4Teachers.org: Helping Teachers Integrate Technology into the Classroom. This site includes many tools that can be used in the classroom. There are also several links that include helpful information. I would recommend this site to teachers interested in learning more about integrating technology.

This is a website dedicated to help teachers integrate technology into the classroom by offering online tools and resources. This site helps teachers locate and create ready-to-use Web lessons, quizzes, rubrics and classroom calendars. I think any teacher who wants to teach with the current tools should look at some of the ideas given at this website.

This is a professional development site for educators and librarians. There are video collections, technology tools, higher education learning and lots of great development resources. There are 4 main areas: Technology and Learning, Internet Resources, Libraries and Literacy and Technology Tools.

This site helps explain the basics of web 2.0 tools to a technology immigrant. It is a great site that would allow educators who are scared to learn about technology, because it is a very simple site that would teach them about what students are using today.

This is an e-Learning blog. The author of this blog tries to find new web 2.0 tools that would be beneficial to educators who are looking to integrate technology into their classrooms. He describes new tool that he has discovered and shares his thoughts, feelings, and findings about each tool.

What I liked most about this blog is that it is specifically designed for how you can integrate technology into your own classroom. It would be a great tool for teachers to utilize to help them turn their classroom into a 21st century learning environment. This site can also help give the support teachers need when they are trying to integrate different tools and technologies that districts sometimes lack after having taken a professional development course. I found it very encouraging.

Here teachers can discover valuable professional development resources addressing a variety of issues including technology planning, and at-risk or special-needs students.

I posted this website because I think it is so amazing to see what types of new tools and resources are available that schools are able to purchase to enrich learning and teaching. I know that most of the tools and technology on this page are not ones that teachers would purchase on their own, but I know our school offers building and district wide grants. Knowing that tools like this exist would be helpful if you ever wanted to rally in bringing new technology to your building!!

This site provides some great articles about assessment and testing. There are also blogs and articles about professional development, how to incorporate technology in to the classroom, and leadership.

This is a magazine that shares resources and strategies in education. It also is used as a professional development tool to help with the newest technologies. A great website for all educators to learn about the newest technologies.

A site for webinars, blogs, videos and current events in tech and learning. I like this site because it has reviews of new tech and also has a professional development section in how to implement tech in the classroom and in the school in general.

Bright ideas is a blog where school library staff share ideas on how they can use Web 2.0 tools in their library and in their school. Tons of links and resources for book reviews, collaborative tools, Creative Commons websites, cybersafety, e-books and magazines, e-portfolios, feature use of Web 2.0 tools, and much more. This site was the first runner up in the 2009 Edublog Awards for Best Library Blog.

Top 100 Tools for Learning 2009 is a comprehensive list of numerous educational websites and tools.

Includes tutorials, workshops, powerpoints, handouts, etc. There is a wide-range of information: from how to put a border on your page to create a web page with Netscape Composer.

This website offers loads of great tools and it even provides video demonstrations on new technology and what is up and coming. I also liked the aspect that this website lists past months on the side where you can easily search and visit past discussions and blogs. Another cool feature are the tabs that talk about types of technology being used in some classrooms like ipads and ipods and what these lessons look like.

This site provides 3-5 daily links to new resources from all over the web.

The School Mentor Model is a working model for on-site, on-going technology professional development, "just-in-time" support for technology use, and technology-infused curriculum modules. Lots of lesson plans are here to help integrate technology, along with how-to documents, handouts, hardware trouble shooting and forms.

This site would be a great tool to use in the classroom (or in a library). A "wallwisher" wall allows everyone to communicate on a "wall" answering a question you have posed. Using sticky notes, those in the class answer on the virtual/visual wall. The wall I built asked the question, "what are you reading and what do you like about it so far?" Students can answer with both words and images. Therefore, it is my hope students will upload a picture of the book cover and give a quick review of the book based on what they have read so far. You can design the color/design of the wall. I found this tool to be lots of fun and it could be used in many ways in a classroom or library. Wallwisher could definitely be used to inspire collaboration and communication.

This is an online notice board maker where you can post announcements, greetings, jokes; just about anything you would want to put on a Post It. I think this would be a great tool for students to use in a note taking assignment. This would be fun to collaborate multiple students' posts and try to combine them randomly to create a funny poem or short story.

This is just the first step in making education and technology more engaging for educators and students! Glogster is also a perfect web 2.0 tool for your learning and your WIKIs. Glogster provides master-accounts for teachers integrating all student accounts, which are kept private! Mix graphics, photos, videos, music and text into slick Glogs.

Advanced Education is a online professional development site that provides information and training on the latest 21st century technology that is used in the classroom, such as the SMART Board. Lesson plans for these technologies are provided, as well as links to other helpful educational resource websites.

Heads up on another type of "smartboard".  This system has a website and there are blogs talking about how to implement this Mimio technology into the classroom.  

Superb directory of Web 2.0 tools, many of which can be used in the classroom.
